The main goal of semantic integration is to provide a virtual semantic view that is semantically connected to data so that applications can have integrated access to data sources through the virtual Knowledge Graph. A semantic view can be published on a semantic portal to make it reusable for building Knowledge Graphs for different applications. This paper takes the first step towards publishing a semantic view on a semantic portal. This paper has three main contributions. First, we introduce a vocabulary for specifying semantic views. Then, we introduce a vocabulary for specification and quality assessment of Knowledge Graph. Third, we describe an approach to automatize the construction of a high-quality Knowledge Graph reusing a semantic view

The emergence of the Interactive Digital Television provided, as well as advantages gain quality and optimization of the transmission, the addition of new features and services available to the user. With the advent of digital convergence between TV and Web platforms, new proposals of semantic organization of content are developed. Moreover, it was possible to introduce concepts of the Semantic Web and knowledge representation that allow semantically describe the metadata of content through ontologies. In this context, this work proposes an approach to identifying of domain of application in digital convergence environment based on the Semantic Web concepts and analysis of lexical and semantic similarity. One component integrated with Knowledge TV platform, was implemented to validate the approach.

IoT Semantic Interoperability: A Systematic Mapping Study

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a paradigm in which the Internet connects people and the environment using devices and services that are spread in the user daily routine. In this scenario, different agents, devices and services are able to exchange data and knowledge using a common vocabulary or mappings that represent and integrate heterogeneous sources. This semantic interoperability is facilitated by the Semantic Web that provides consolidated technologies, languages and standards, offering data and platforms interoperability. In this context, this work reviews and analyzes the state-of-the-art of IoT semantic interoperability, investigating and presenting not only which Semantic Web technologies are employed but also the challenges that support the studies in this area of research

Brazil is one of the countries with the highest level of drug consumption in the world. By 2012 about 66% claimed to practice self-medication. Such activity can lead to a wide range of risks, including death from drug intoxication. Studies indicate that a lack of knowledge about drugs and their dangers is one of the main aggravating factors in this scenario. This work aims to universalize access to information about medications and their risks for different user profiles, especially Brazilian and lay users. In this paper, we presented the construction process of a Linked Data Mashup (LDM) integrating the datasets: consumer drug prices, government drug prices and drug’s risks in pregnant from ANVISA and SIDER from BIO2RDF. In addition, this work presents MediBot, an ontology-based chatbot capable of responding to requests in natural language in Portuguese through the instant messenger Telegram, smoothing the process to query the data. MediBot acts like a native language query interface on an LDM that works as an abstraction layer that provides an integrated view of multiple heterogeneous data sources
